Sonmarg "Meadow of Gold" is a hill station in Ganderbal district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is located 85 km from Srinagar. Sonmarg is last stop of Kahmir when we drive from Kashmir to Ladakh. Sonmarg has snow-covered mountain that forms the backdrop of the town. It is Covered with alpine trees from all sides. Sonmarg is a base camp for the holy Amarnath yatra. The yatra is organized during the month of July-August every year, and thousands of tourists are drawn towards Sonmarg. The place is frequently visited by nature lovers in the search of tranquil peace and soothing natural beauty.

Baltal
Baltal is extremely stunning grassland which is situated right at the foot of Zoji la pass, adjacent to Ladakh territory. Baltal is more famous for its closeness to Amarnath cave. You can just walk to the cave which is approximately 5 km away from here. During the Amarnath yatra, many pilgrims set up camps here to rest.
